from the newsroom to runing a company

Breton Buckley is a former newspaper editor, led communications for a 3,000-person organization, then served more than seven years as CEO of OpenSynergy, Inc., a Panasonic subsidiary — taking a Bluetooth software business to global leadership with Fortune 500 customers. He later taught MBA Marketing at Point Loma Nazarene University.

That sequence is the offer: how a story gets published, how a company has to be structured, and how an executive should appear in public.

He founded the San Diego firm in 2025. The practice is now three things: media management, branding, and helping a principal stand up an LLC.

Most clients don’t need a 12-person agency. They need one person who can name the firm, get it formed, put a site and inbox in place, and manage what the public sees. For an east-coast consulting client he built the brand, site, arranged LLC counsel and insurance, set up the domain and Google Workspace, and was asked to stay on as media manager.

That is the model. The firm stays small on purpose: one person to call.
